The Roost doesn’t just excel in its entrees but also offers a selection of fresh, vibrant salads like the refreshing Spinach Salad with baby spinach, toasted walnuts, blue cheese, and seasonal fruit, a wonderful lighter option that pairs beautifully with their aromatic specialty coffee. And speaking of coffee, guests often find themselves raving about the baristas — Tatum, Taylor, and Sue — who expertly tailor each cup, crafting the perfect brew for early risers and caffeine aficionados alike.
What truly sets The Roost apart is not just the food or drink, but the inviting atmosphere and exceptional hospitality. Solid brunch place on Mass street. We arrived at about 12:30 and waited about 20 minutes. The place was packed and even though there are few servers, they were attentive and welcoming. Food was great, absolutely loved their in house salsa! Definitely will go back next time I visit Lawrence.
This is one of the greatest restaurants in Kansas, absolutely delicious eggs benedict with the potatoes and a side of biscuits and gravy. EVERYTHING was finger licking Good and cooked to perfection. The waitress was sweet and helpful and a delight to have breakfast with. I only had to wait 5 to 10 minutes and I was eating alone and they had the perfect table for me. I did have to pay for parking.
